Mt Monadnock, in Jaffery is at 3165 feet, the most hiked mountain. There are 40 miles of trails to the top, some up the rock face, others go through the woods, and the most popular is fully accessable by even young kids. This State Park is off of Rt. 124, kids are allowed, pets aren't. (603)532.8862 'Mystery Hill' in North Salem, is over 30 acres of stone caverns, walls and large shaped standing stones. The stones mark important astronomical calendar events. Many theories point to Native Americans, or the early European migrants as the builders. Tools and pottery in the area suggest the site is over 4000 years old. You can make your own guesses, on Haverhill Rd. mid-March to October (other times available if you are in-the-know) (603)893.8300 Between Cornish NH, and Windsor VT, crossing the Connecticut River is the longest Covered Bridge in the US, and the longest two-span covered bridge in the world.
