and the winner is

This handcrafted - low budget beauty took:
First Place for Full Custom Asian, and
First Place OVERALL in HandCrafted,
at the recent NHMRO Bike show at Hopkington Fair grounds.

Back view of "Wild Rice", notice the custom-made fender, and License Plate.

Wild Rice and the very creative (and proud owner) Omer.

Front view of the handcrafted front fender, and light.

Another view of the fender - over the fender, then sculpted together.

The stock foot-pegs and controls were mounted forward, using the hand-made chin scoop to cover the bracket.

Notice the extended shift linkage (hand-made) to allow the forward controls.
"Wild Rice" took about a half a year to complete, and she's still being added to.
Although Omer had to leave the N.E. area for work, the yankee spirit that it took to build this bike will continue.
The project was built under the direction and skills of 'Ogar' at Cooper's Motorcycle Salvage in
W. Franklin NH. Very few parts were bought from a catalog, with most being fabricated by Ogar.
The front fender over the fender and the custom light as an example. Much time and skill went into the project, and it shows.
It also shows what can be done without 'buying' your custom from a catalog of add-ons, and letting your imagination go.
